Bury It!

This is exactly why in my previous post I said I was deathly afraid of the new Stephen Sprouse line by Louis Vuitton. Too many young and hip stars who consider themselves to be trendy were going to over do it. I am begging this line to be buried in the fashion cemetery immediately. Bury it alive!

Case and point…Teairra Mari. Her hair and make up looks fabulous! And she is clearly wearing a scarf from the line.

and then we see the whole outfit…..

leggings, t-shirt, scarf and the bag….

I rest my case as I close the fashion book on her. Totally unacceptable. Clearly your new label has thrown you a few extra dollars and you no longer have to wear BeBe on the red carpet. However, just because the price has increased doesn’t mean that its automatically fashionable.

Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs Pay Tribute to Legendary Icon Stephen Sprouse

Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs (head designer right now) have teamed up and released a new line inspired by the legendary Stephen Sprouse. Now I have to admit, I have never heard of Sprouse until i received an alert that the new line had been released. So I had to read up on him really quickly. I thought it might change my mind and how I initially felt about the line…but it didn’t. I still hate it.

To me brands such as Louis Vuitton and Chanel and Gucci and Dior are very classic, have a certain air of sophistication and should always have key elements that are the same. I know that for branding and marketing purposes they must appeal to different facets of people. Let’s just say this is one trend I will not be participating in.

There is just something about this line that I cannot get with. Maybe in small doses, but I have a feeling that like many Americans, people have a problem with excess and don’t know when to call it quits. CoCo Chanel always said take one accessory off before you leave the door. I have a feeling young and hip trendy women are going to take this too far. I’m very scared…

Grab Bag!

I’ve been looking at this bag for quite some time and I can’t get over it. Maybe it means that I need it. Just might have to gift myself for Valentine’s Day because I love me that much. I saw this L.A.M.B.
Soft Signature Marchmont Tote it a little over a month ago on eluxury and every time I visit the site I still see it. But it saddens me today that I look and it is no longer in stock! Maybe that means I don’t need it…but I’m determined to find this bag. The search begins.

Dig It? or Bury It?

Can you dig this look? Or do you think she should bury it in the fashion cemetery?

Well if you ask me….BURY IT! I hated it. I never wanted to be intentionally negative towards any one’s fashion on my blog, but after I received an email update from ELLE today and how they appeared to be giving her kudos for this look…I was appalled. Who in their right mind would say this ensemble in any way shape or form was flattering?!?

Cameron Diaz is never on the top of my fashion charts, but this was one of the worst to me. She looks like a cracked out Barbie doll. Courtney Love has looked better than this when she used to attempt to be a lady and sober. I don’t care if its Chanel Haute Couture. Its all wrong. Her hair is a mess, the dress is not flattering. I think the taffeta fabric weighs more than her emaciated frame right now. I don’t know who her stylist is…but she needs her money back for that consultation. Honey get your roots done and go eat a burger.

Clearly I’m upset by this one…
